Fall in La Jolla (technically)Jake, Leslie, and Joshua are happy and healthy and immensely enjoying living in La Jolla, CA. Actually, Joshua is sick at the moment but I'm told this is a frequent condition for kids his age (19 months). It only slows him down a bit, and he's getting tall enough to climb all over and get into just about anything. His mental development continues with impressive vocabulary and counting gains. Leslie is a full-time mother at the moment and really enjoys being with our son. I get to spend a lot of time at home as a student, but I'm still jealous of how much time she gets with him. I have just officially started the PhD program in the Computer Science and Engineering department at UCSD, having transferred from the Master's Program. My classes are pretty much over, so it's mostly research from here. I love it! My focus area is parallel computation, or doing something on multiple processors at the same time.
